Jambusar: A grand and dignified Taluka-level Sanskrit Week celebration was organized at Jantran Vidyamandir, with the participation of students, educators, dignitaries and prominent members of the local community.
The programme was attended by Jambusar Taluka BJP President Kuldeepsinh Yadav as the chief guest, along with Jambusar Kisan Morcha President Hardeepsinh Yadav, Jambusar Minority Morcha Vice President Mohsinbhai Khilji, and former District Education Officer of Junagadh Jivadas Saheb. Runad School Principal Harishbhai Saheb, school trustee Natubhai, village leaders, Talati Musabhai, Nitinbhai Patel, Faridbhai Musa, Maulana Minhaj, Bhailalbhai, Hasmukhbhai Yadav, Sarfaraz Dayama and teacher Vipul Saheb from Jantran Primary School were also present.
The Sanskrit Week celebration was organized with the objective of promoting and preserving Sanskrit, one of India’s ancient languages, in line with the vision of the New Education Policy. The initiative has been undertaken by the Gujarat State Education Department and the Gujarat State Sanskrit Board under the Sanskrit Panch Yojana.
The programme was conducted under the theme “Jai Sanskrit, Speak Sanskrit, Jai Bharat”, highlighting the importance of Sanskrit as an integral part of India’s cultural and linguistic heritage.
As part of the Sanskrit Week celebrations, a ‘Gaurav Yatra’ was organized in the morning. This was followed by the Taluka-level programme, where students enthusiastically presented various Sanskrit-based performances, including Sanskrit songs, dialogues, Sanskrit conversations, devotional verses, poems, Ashtakams, storytelling and self-introductions in Sanskrit.
Chief Guest Kuldeepsinh Yadav appreciated the students for their impressive Sanskrit presentations. He also highlighted the importance of preserving and learning Sanskrit and encouraged students to continue their studies and develop a deeper interest in the language.
The entire programme was successfully organized under the guidance of School Principal Asfaq Sheikh, with the dedicated cooperation and support of the teaching staff.
The celebration provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talent while also creating awareness about the importance of Sanskrit and India’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage.
