A significant literary event was organized at Jinwala Auditorium of Shri Thakorbhai Patel Arts and Commerce College, Ankleshwar, under the “Chhilugari Seminar Series (Indian and Gujarati Literature Context) – Episode 1”, based on the works of acclaimed writer Jayshree Chaudhary.

The programme was presided over by College Administrator Chiragbhai Shah, with Co-Administrator Balvantsinh Patel in attendance. Eminent Gujarati writer and critic Dr. Bharat Mehta graced the occasion as the chief guest, while noted literary critic Dr. Nivya Patel attended as a special guest. Former Head of Gujarati Department Prof. Pravin Kumar Patel and Principal Dr. G.K. Nanda were also present.The event commenced with a formal welcome and introduction by Dr. G.K. Nanda. On this occasion, Jayshree Chaudhary’s short story collection “Seven Trees” and its Odia translation titled “Ek Vaat” were formally released.

In his presidential address, Chiragbhai Shah highlighted the literary achievements and creative excellence of the author. Jayshree Chaudhary, while presenting her creative reflections, acknowledged the role of her mentors, institution, family, students, and media in shaping her literary journey.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Bharat Mehta described “Chhilugari” as a powerful and technically rich novel, praising its narrative depth and literary craftsmanship.

The programme was efficiently anchored by Dr. Jagdish Kantharia, followed by a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Hasmukhbhai Patanwadiya. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from poets, academicians, principals of various schools, and a large number of students and literature enthusiasts.
