The village of Sarod in Jambusar taluka witnessed a spiritually vibrant atmosphere as the 84th Patotsav of Brahmalin Param Pujya Shri Rang Avdhut Maharaj was celebrated with devotion and traditional rituals. The occasion marked the completion of 83 years since the arrival of Shri Rang Avdhut Maharaj in Sarod in 1942, and the beginning of the 84th sacred year.
The two-day religious festival was organised by the Shri Rang Avdhut family at the Maharaj’s temple, where a series of spiritual programmes were conducted in a deeply devotional environment. The celebrations began early in the morning with a Nagar Kirtan and Prabhat Pheri, followed by Mangala Aarti. Rituals such as Paduka Pujan by five couples and Vedic ceremonies performed by learned priests added to the sanctity of the event.
Villagers fondly recalled the historic moments associated with Param Pujya Shri Rang Avdhut Maharaj’s arrival in Sarod decades ago and expressed gratitude for his spiritual legacy. The atmosphere reflected collective faith, remembrance, and devotion.
Param Pujya Shri Rang Avdhut Maharaj is revered as a symbol of spirituality, simplicity, and selfless service. His teachings emphasised devotion, moral living, and human welfare. Even today, his life and philosophy continue to inspire devotees, and Sarod remains an important spiritual centre connected to his legacy.
The event was attended by Sarod native and Bharuch District Panchayat BJP Education Committee Chairman Shri Sanjaysinh Sindha, along with members of the Rang Avdhut family, local leaders, and a large number of devotees and villagers. Their presence added dignity and significance to the Patotsav celebrations.
The two-day Patotsav concluded with prayers for peace, harmony, and spiritual well-being, leaving a lasting impression of devotion and unity among the people of Sarod.
