From Jambusar to Zee Media: Kushagra Bhatt Builds a Distinct Identity in Journalism

From Ground Reporting to Television Anchoring – Now Serving as News Anchor and Principal Correspondent with Zee 24 Kalak

Jambusar: Journalism is not merely about presenting news; it is about understanding people’s concerns, giving a voice to society and bringing facts before the public with responsibility. With this belief, Kushagra Bhatt, who has been active in journalism for over a decade, has built a distinctive identity across ground reporting, television anchoring, news production and special programming.

Born in Udaipur and raised in Jambusar, Kushagra began his journalism journey in 2016 with local reporting. Starting with camera work and field coverage, he went on to report on crime, politics, breaking news, floods, natural disasters and various public-interest issues.

His association with Sandesh News as a Reporter gave him extensive experience in field journalism and reporting from challenging situations. He later joined Connect Gujarat as a Digital Anchor & Producer, expanding his expertise in digital journalism, visual storytelling, news presentation and programme production.

In 2022, Kushagra joined Gujarat First as a News Anchor, marking an important phase in his television career. He presented live news bulletins, breaking news, political discussions, special programmes and spiritual shows. His programmes and journeys covering prominent religious places across Gujarat also became an important part of his identity among viewers.

Alongside anchoring, Kushagra has conducted conversations with several prominent personalities from spirituality, politics, cinema and public life, including Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Ji, Shankaracharya Sadanand Saraswati Ji and actor-author Ashutosh Rana.

He later served as Senior News Anchor & Producer at News Capital, where his responsibilities included live news bulletins, political discussions, special programmes, interviews, field reporting, scripting, editorial planning and production.

A New Chapter with Zee Media

Kushagra Bhatt is now associated with Zee Media as a News Anchor and Principal Correspondent with Zee 24 Kalak, while continuing to bring his experience in news anchoring, ground reporting, current affairs and editorial storytelling to the platform.

From local journalism in Jambusar to television newsrooms and now Zee Media, his journey reflects continuous growth, experience and a strong connection with ground realities.

His distinctive strength lies in combining the perspective of a field reporter with the presence of a television anchor—bringing stories from the ground while communicating them effectively to audiences.

The platform has grown, the responsibilities have increased, but the core purpose remains unchanged: to understand the story behind the headline, represent people’s concerns and present journalism with responsibility and integrity.

“For me, journalism is not merely a profession; it is a journey of understanding people’s concerns, giving them a voice and presenting the truth with responsibility.”: Kushagra Bhatt
