Ahmedabad is all set to witness its most awaited annual entertainment extravaganza as Kankaria Carnival 2025 begins from December 25 and continues till December 31 at the iconic Kankaria Lake. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has completed all preparations, anticipating footfall of over one lakh visitors daily.
This year’s carnival promises a spectacular lineup of attractions including a high-tech drone show, pet fashion show, juggler performances, light and sound shows, and a special Dubai-style pyro show featuring fire-based dance performances. Renowned Gujarati artists such as Kirtidan Gadhvi, Geeta Rabari, Ishani Dave, and Brijdan Gadhvi will perform live, adding musical charm to the festivities.
To ensure safety and crowd control, AMC has installed head-count cameras at all seven entry and exit gates, enabling real-time monitoring of visitor movement. The corporation has also secured an insurance cover worth ₹5,000 crore for the event, paying a premium of ₹3.91 lakh to safeguard against any unforeseen incidents.
Entry to the carnival will be free from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. Three major stages have been set up at Pushpakunj Gate, Balvatika, and Vyayam Vidyalaya, hosting diverse cultural programs throughout the week. Additionally, visitors will enjoy food stalls and cultural performances from other Indian states, making the carnival a truly pan-Indian celebration.
